Good Neighbor Health Clinic
Banwell Architects designed a renovation and addition for the historic 2-story Gates Memorial Library building. In this new chapter, the building was adapted to fulfill the Clinic’s mission to provide free health care.
Major interior renovations included space for reception/waiting, examination rooms, conference rooms, offices, and storage. An entry addition provided a new egress stair, as well as a handicapped lift to serve both levels. Other exterior improvements consisted of window replacement and brick repointing. Banwell Architects enjoyed re-purposing this historic building listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings in a sensitive way while helping to fulfill an important community need.
