Jay Peak Mountain Learning Center

Jay Peak Resort daycare facility was located in the basement of an unused ski lodge. With federal funding, the resort hired Banwell Architects to cheer up their children’s amenities, create greater structure for their parking areas, and design two cafes, a staff room, a rental room, and rest rooms.

Features of the new facility include:

  • Design that provides for two conveyors and a secure learners slope area
  • A Disney theme to engage children and ease drop-offs
  • Multiple entryways and parking lots to make drop-off, pick-up, and visitor parking safer
  • Dedicated state-approved daycare facility to separate children safely from high traffic areas

Located at the Stateside Base Lands area at the Jay Peak Resort, the new building will be used year round. The new parking lot design facilitates orderly movement outside the building and the new children’s facility makes it easier for parents to let go of their children, who are immediately drawn to the colorful and familiar Disney décor.
