Hanover High School

The Dresden Schools serve the communities of Hanover, NH and Norwich, VT with Middle School and High School facilities in Hanover. Banwell Architects developed options which compared middle school and high school programs, sites, and costs to facilitate the District’s selection of a single option. A successful bond vote in May of 2003 funded a new Middle School on a new site, a complete renovation and additions to the existing Hanover High School. Banwell worked closely with the high school to create a phased construction plan as the school was in session during the time of construction. The existing building was completely renovated and brought into compliance with the building codes. Spaces were renovated to accommodate updated educational requirements. Energy upgrades throughout the building included new:

– Exterior insulation and sealing.

– Roofs

– Windows

– Mechanical and Electrical systems.
