Dover High School Athletics Facility

The Dover High School Athletic Complex Renovation is transforming an aging athletics facility into a modern, multi-purpose campus that supports both school and community needs. Key challenges include replacing outdated infrastructure, meeting budget constraints, and maintaining uninterrupted school operations throughout design and construction.

To address these challenges, Banwell Architects designed the supporting buildings for this Tighe & Bond-led project. Working closely with the Joint Building Committee and project stakeholders, our team developed practical, cost-effective solutions that balance functionality, durability, and long-term value. In addition to athletic field and spectator improvements, the project includes a new concessions building, athletic storage building, and facilities building serving the entire Dover School District. These structures support game-day operations, provide secure equipment storage, and centralize maintenance functions while fitting within the campus’s operational and site constraints.

Through a collaborative design process and careful project coordination, the project remains on schedule for successful delivery. Once complete, the renovated athletic complex and supporting facilities will provide Dover with modern, durable infrastructure that will serve students, staff, and the community for years to come.
