Department of Public Works for the City of Lebanon

Banwell Architects was hired to do a master plan to provide new DPW facilities including: DPW garage, Administration building, outdoor Storage and Sand and Salt storage.

  • DPW Garage: 120’ x 230’ with second floor mezzanine of 120’ x 30’ and cold storage area of 230’ x 30’
  • DPW Administration building: 125’ x 40’ (2 floors)
  • Salt Storage facility

The DPW Garage was sited to allow trucks to drive through the facility without having to backup. The building includes truck maintenance, truck parking, welding, tool storage, water dept, locker rooms, a break room, and a truck wash bay. The facility was also designed to house plow truck sanders on a special rack we designed for when they are not in use. Long interior trench drains and radiant slab heat help keep floors dry and the staff comfortable.
