We’re honored to be featured in the Summer 2026 issue of AIA New Hampshire’s Forum, recognizing Banwell Architects’ nearly 60-year legacy of designing schools, municipal facilities, housing, laboratories, and community spaces throughout New Hampshire, Vermont, and New England.
The feature highlights our evolution from a small educational design firm into a diverse architectural practice while staying true to the relationship-driven approach that has defined us since our founding in 1966.
Today, we are a women-owned firm led by President Ingrid Nichols. Under Ingrid’s leadership, we’ve intentionally remained a small team, allowing us to focus on the projects we’re passionate about while building lasting relationships with the clients and communities we serve. This philosophy has enabled us to deliver projects ranging from $50,000 renovations to schools valued at more than $50 million all with the same commitment to collaboration, thoughtful design, sustainability, and responsible budgeting.
We’re grateful to AIA New Hampshire for recognizing the people, partnerships, and values that have shaped our firm over the past six decades. As we look ahead, we remain committed to designing spaces that strengthen communities, inspire learning, and create places that will serve generations to come.
