Banwell Architects Hits the Slopes

“Never put off till tomorrow what may be done the day after tomorrow just as well.”

-Mark Twain

Sometimes (just sometimes) – putting things off can work out for the best!

After countless false starts, after any number of re-scheduled dates, and multiple jokes in our weekly Staff Meetings, the crew at Banwell FINALLY got our chance to take Okemo Mountain by storm.

It’s one of the events we look forward to annually: The official Banwell Architects Ski Day.  This year, because of our exceptionally large workload, the day was both the most anticipated in memory, AND the most delayed!

It turns out that the endless delays were a blessing as the Spring weather made for a glorious day for skiing.  Sunny, temperatures in the mid-40’s – we couldn’t ask for better conditions!

Displaying a wide range of abilities, and joined by Jules Chatot – former partner at Banwell – we made our way up and down the slopes enjoying the sunshine and great company until it was time depart for dinner.

After a brief stop at Tom’s Loft Tavern for a well-deserved frosty-cold malted beverage, and a quick visit to one of our local projects: the Okemo Mountain School’s new Fitness Facility (complete with a turn on the silo-trampoline) – the gang ventured over to the Chop House, where we were treated to a most delicious dinner.

It was truly one of those days where everything was absolutely splendid!  Great conditions, great weather, great food and drink, and great company!

I think we’re already looking forward to the next outing!
