Girl Scouts Grand Opening

On Saturday, May 6th, the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains hosted a luncheon and silent auction to honor the Ribbon Cutting of the grand opening of the newly renovated Dining Hall and new 18 bed Bunkhouse at Camp Farnsworth in Thetford, VT. Despite it being a cold, rainy day there was a surprisingly good turnout, people traveled from all over New England to attend. The morning started off with a silent auction as well as tours of new buildings and the rest of campus. People were thrilled at the new accommodations of the Bunkhouse. It is certainly one of the more plush sleeping arrangements you will find at any summer camp and is designed to be used year round. The new deck of the Dining Hall was also a big hit. This deck was built as a replacement to the old multi-tiered deck and offers gorgeous views of Lake Abenaki… and no more wooden splinters in the feet! The lunch was a homerun, bravo to the chefs for making a delicious meal. All in all the two projects were well received and appreciated by the group. It is always a pleasure working with the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains, we look forward to working with them again on future projects. I would like to say a special thank you to Tricia and Mike from the Girl Scouts as well as Mark and Dan from Conneston Construction, you were all a pleasure to work with.
